How To Install Daydream App

Quick and dingy setup for Daydream for Pixel phones or Nexus 6p:

1. Get the .apk from Google Play Store or download hither: http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google.../daydream-1-0-161019143-android-apk-download/
2. Get the controller emulator from here: https://github.com/googlevr/gvr-android-sdk/tree/master/apks
3. Install the controller emulator on another Android telephone. I am using an LG G4. Note, if the phone doesn't take a gyroscope (example in point my Moto e, which I tried first) the controller movement volition not work.
4. Turn on Developer options by clicking the Android build in Settings on both the controller phone and your phone that you will exist using in the headset.
5. Enable USB debugging on both phones.
vi. Plough on Bluetooth on both phones.
seven. Pair both phones on Bluetooth.
8. Open up the Daydream app on the phone you lot will be using in the headset.
ix. Select SKIP.
ten. If it brings upwards the controller screen, go out the application and commencement it support. It should load to a Daydream 2d screen that has featured apps.
11. Click the three bar bill of fare button in the top left hand corner of the screen on the headset telephone next to where it says Daydream.
12. Click Settings.
thirteen. Click on the Build Version until it unlocks Developer Options.
14. Go to Developer Options.
15. Click on Controller Emulator Device and select your controller telephone.
16. Open the Controller Emulator on your controller phone.
17. Click the Cardboard headset in the lower correct corner of the Daydream 2D screen on the headset phone.
18. Tap the screen when it says Identify your phone into the Daydream headset and skip any errors about your headset not being compatible.

Controller Emulator Issues

My telephone that i am running the contoller emulator on connects to daydream, the buttons work, simply information technology wont go passed the screen where it asks to hold the home button while holding the telephone in front of you level with the horizon. My telephone has a gyroscope and kitkat 4.4.2. Thanks

I got it all setup with my pixel xl and with my 6p using the stock remote etc. The 6p gets very hot, video stutters like crazy.
